Happy last day of class! I've enjoyed having you all in class this term and watching you all grow as musicians and people. Please help me and future music students out by completing this exit survey.
Congrats to everyone who conquered the Beat Project! Here are the results of yesterday's voting:
MASTER OF BEATS: Kyle B.
First, let us be inspired...
Use this handy Online Guitar Tuner to tune up your guitar strings.
Also, here are some videos to get you started playing.
How are you doing on your beat project? Fill out and submit the form below.
From today's class, some screenshots of your peers' Beat Projects.
Form- This example has nice FORM- it has an interesting beginning and middle, with instruments coming in and out at different times. What would you do to make the ending more interesting?
Matching your Outfits- This project (although it's hard to tell here) did a great job of matching the notes of the bass to notes in the motive.
Motive Notes: D# E B A# (repeated)
Bass Notes: D# held under the motive, then E held under the motive when it repeats
Building on your Drums- This project shows how you can take a simple idea and make it into a catchy drum track. Notice how, halfway through, a new layer of drums is added, which changes the texture big time!
